Pauline Newman – Circuit Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit


Hon. Pauline Newman was nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit by President Reagan on January 30, 1984, and assumed the duties of such office on May 7, 1984. Judge Newman was Director of Patent, Trademark and Licensing at FMC Corporation at the time of her appointment to the bench. Judge Newman has served as an officer and director of several bar and scientific organizations and has also served on several public advisory committees, including the Advisory Committee to the Domestic Policy Review of Industrial Innovation and the State Department Advisory Committee on International Intellectual Property.
